Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position available in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care in a busy labor and delivery unit, supporting patients through childbirth and postpartum recovery. The assignment offers a dynamic environment with variable patient census and a focus on quality maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Schedule: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every third weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Requirements: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call; call back minimum is 2 hours, with call back pay if called back in during low census hours
• Float Requirements: None
• Unit Information: 11-bed labor and delivery unit and 8-bed postpartum; approximately 1,350 deliveries annually, with an average monthly delivery rate of 112
• Charting Experience: Primary Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is EPIC; experience preferred
• Required Certifications: Mandatory: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of experience in labor and delivery with labor and delivery competent skillset; associate degree or certificate required
• Shift Notes: 12-hour days
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
• Additional Information: Travelers may be put on call during low census hours; flu and COVID vaccination are mandatory during flu season, with mask requirements for those declining vaccination
