Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care in an 11-bed labor and delivery unit with an average of 112 deliveries per month. The position offers a 6-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week, primarily working 12-hour day shifts. The nurse will participate in a rotation that includes every third weekend and every other holiday, supporting the facility's commitment to quality maternal care.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Schedule: 12-hour days, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 6 weeks, with start date on 07/27/2026
• Minimum Qualifications: WI RN license, minimum of 2 years in obstetrics with labor and delivery experience, Certification in American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support, and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
• Charting Experience: Primary Electronic Medical Record system used is EPIC.
• Required Skillset: Labor and Delivery competent
• Shift Requirements: 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
• On Call/Call Back: Can be low censused and placed on call; call back minimum is 2 hours, with potential call back pay during low census hours.
• Unit Information: 11 beds for labor and delivery, 8 beds for postpartum; approximately 1,350 deliveries annually.
• Additional Information: Flexibility during flu season, mandatory mask policy if declining vaccination, and compliance with facility policies is required.
