Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to create detailed client profiles, documenting findings from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify their needs and challenges.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that encompass treatment goals for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to effectively engage clients.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate continuously with fellow mental health professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.

• Follow up with healthcare providers on clients requiring hospitalization to provide continuity of care and support during their treatment journey.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on diverse clientele facing a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients from various demographics, helping them navigate unique challenges and find meaningful paths to recovery. Your expertise will empower individuals and families to enhance their quality of life through effective counseling and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for efficient documentation and client tracking.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with clients suffering from co-occurring disorders, including underlying physical health conditions and addiction issues.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000, complemented by a competitive sign-on bonus.
