Our custodial team plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing and corporate campus clean, comfortable, and welcoming for employees, customers, and visitors.

Explore Industries is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our manufacturing and corporate facilities.

The Custodian plays an important role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. This position supports daily facility operations by ensuring assigned areas are properly cleaned, maintained, and stocked.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities will vary by position but may include:

• Clean and maintain office areas, production areas, and restroom facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces as needed.
• Clean and restock bathrooms with necessary supplies.
• Empty trash containers and remove waste to designated disposal areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of break rooms, and other common areas.
• Follow proper safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred but not required
• Experience using cleaning equipment, supplies, and basic maintenance tools is a plus
• Ability to read basic instructions, follow cleaning procedures, and learn new processes
• Ability to safely handle and use cleaning products according to company procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and properly use cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a professional work environment.
• Stand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaning duties.
• Lift, carry, and move trash bags, cleaning supplies, and equipment as needed.

Compensation

• Starting pay varies based on position and experience, typically ranging from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour. 

• Performance is reviewed throughout your first year, with the opportunity for increases of up to 25% based on individual contribution and skill development.
