Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' mental well-being, integrating considerations of any co-existing medical conditions.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass both psychiatric care and medical considerations, ensuring a holistic approach to individual wellness.

• Facilitate engaging individual sessions and group therapy workshops, applying evidence-based practices and tailoring each session to the unique needs of patients.

• Work collaboratively with medical providers to ensure continuity of care and to synchronize treatment efforts, attending interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients during mental health emergencies, employing effective de-escalation techniques as necessary.

• Educate patients on how their mental health impacts their physical health, empowering them to take charge of their overall well-being.

• Maintain meticulous records of all therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards.

• Stay abreast of current research, advancements, and best practices in integrated mental health care to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with a diverse client population, including adults and adolescents struggling with a variety of mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, while also managing co-occurring medical issues. This dual focus allows therapists to address the full spectrum of patient needs, creating tailored treatment pathways that promote healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
