Occupational Therapist School Setting - Ventura, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students for the first semester as a full-time Occupational Therapist. This contract role, located near Ventura, CA, focuses on providing essential therapy services to an elementary school caseload from August through December. Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California (OTR/L).
• Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with elementary students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Collaborative approach to working with educators and families.
• Knowledge of school-based documentation and case management procedures.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students.
• Deliver targeted OT interventions addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student goals and accommodations.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation of student progress and services.
• Consult with teachers and support staff to support classroom goals and student participation.
• Provide resources and strategies to families for carryover of therapeutic activities at home.
