Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, LLC, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories.

• Designing and implementing customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.

• Providing crisis intervention support and stabilization during periods of acute distress.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and local resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to continuously enhance the effectiveness of our trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. In this role, you will work closely with individuals undergoing the challenging process of healing from their past experiences. Your ability to create a warm, non-judgmental space is essential for building trust and fostering a strong therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care and familiarity with trauma-related disorders.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging patients with empathy and understanding.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and a comfort with digital communication tools to support remote work efficiencies.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum experience requirement includes at least two years of post-licensure practice, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapies or specific interventions are highly desirable. Proven skills in multidisciplinary collaboration and crisis management are also advantageous in this position.

Compensation and Benefits\n
