Attorney - Insurance Coverage

A well-established and highly respected civil defense litigation firm is seeking a talented Associate or Of Counsel Attorney to join its growing insurance coverage and litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys both coverage analysis and litigation and is looking for increased responsibility, hands-on experience, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze insurance policies and advise on coverage issues
• Draft detailed insurance coverage opinions
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in insurance and extra-contractual matters
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases efficiently
• Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar Association
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with insurance coverage research and drafting coverage opinions

Preferred Experience:

• Litigation experience involving insurance and extra-contractual claims
• Judicial clerkship or prior court experience
• Ability to independently manage caseloads and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a high level of professionalism and integrity

• Base salary: $150,000 - $180,000+ (depending on experience)
