Accuracy and timely movement of freight and information is a key component for this position. This position will be based at our Torrance, CA location. Key Responsibilities: Confirm all shipment information with origin to initiate shipment Receive and validate customers order including shipping documents, SLI, EIN, credit application Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions Verify shipment status, review pre-alert and verify shipment handling instructions to operations Serve as a liaison between Document Processing Agent and the Customer regarding shipment details and/or exception Communicate and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product Communicate exceptions and shipment status with Customer Skills / Requirements: Minimum 2 years Ocean Imports experience in the freight forwarding or International Supply Chain industry. Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents. Knowledge of Inco Terms a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Exceptional customer service and follow up skills Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus Hazmat certification is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required Pay Range: $23.26 - $31.02/hr.
