Requirements ***Client has 8hrs of Non-Billable hours for orientation hours *to include 4hrs of gratis for call* **Client requesting that daily rate be presented to include night call* MD/DO Gastro FTE 2 Req approved through 2/21/27 Why Open?- Gap in coverage Type of Privs- Both hospital and Clinic Setting- Both inpatient and outpatient # of beds- 251 Rounding admissions and procedures Average patients per day: Clinic – 16 Outpatient endoscopy center – 14 -16 Hospital Census – varies Required Procedures: Colonoscopy EGD Flex sig dilation general GI procedures. Support staff?- working w/ other GI's as part of the practice License- Washington Licensed or IMLC only. Required certifications Must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross as applicable - BLS ACLS EMR- EPIC proficient user Required clinical activity in the last 24 months case logs: Applicant must provide documentation of provision of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year. AND If training to perform double balloon enteroscopy or capsule endoscopy occurred in the previous 2 years applicant must provide a description of supervised training on human subjects along with a letter from the supervising physician attesting to clinical competence as an independent operator. If training occurred greater than 2 years ago the applicant must provide documentation of ongoing clinical practice in each privilege requested. QUESTIONS TO SCREEN AND INCLUDE IN YOUR PRESENTATION TEMPLATE: Here are the questions that I will have for every presentation. 1. Do they take 24-hour General GI call? 2. Will they see patients in the clinic setting? 3. Will they scope patients in an outpatient endoscopy center/ambulatory surgery center? a. Is nurse sedation/conscious sedation Fentanyl and Versed ok with them? b. Will they only scope if sedation is strictly MAC/anesthesia only? 4. Are they open to scoping patients in our outpatient hospital block that are not suitable for the endoscopy center? a. We need to fill our 3 outpatient hospital blocks weekly. This is filled by either the General GI who is also on call or by another MD who is not on call. If Advanced Endoscopist: 1. Do they perform ERCP? a. Will they take 24-hour backup ERCP call when they are here? i. Example: A different General GI MD is on-call at hospital but they call this MD if ERCP is needed to come in. ii. If the backup ERCP call MD is not in the hospital on General GI call I would have them in the endoscopy center or in the clinic. b. Will they take 24-hour General GI/ERCP call? 2.
