About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64101!

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team activations
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, manage heparin protocols, PCA, and procedural sedation
• Perform IV therapy including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
• Manage respiratory support modalities including HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and chest tubes
• Float between medical-surgical units and departments, including Emergency Department inpatient holding, based on facility need

• Active RN license - both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or comparable setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, neurological assessment (CVA), and pre/post cardiac and surgical care
• Experience with isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, and renal/hemodialysis patient management
• Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital background
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
