Required Application Materials Resume is required Cover Letter is preferred Job Details Job Summary The Associate Director provides advanced leadership, developmentand direction for the fiscal administration of assigned area/s.This position is responsible for the oversight, efficiency,effectiveness and compliance of the fiscal operations to includecomplex, multiple departments and multiple funding sources. Core Responsibilities Manages and oversees the fiscal operations of multipledepartments, ensuring that a system of controls is in place thatcomplies with State, System and Institutional policies andprocedures regarding fiscal management. Analyzes budgets and financial documentation. Works withdepartments to optimize budgets and use of funds. Develops financial forecasts, multi-year budget projections,and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making. Reviews funding sources, account expenditures, and reported useof funds to ensure compliance with restrictions, regulationspolicies and procedures. Compiles data and prepares reports for accounting and fiscalmanagement purposes. Responds to requests for reports from internaland external customers. Partners with the College Business Service Center and academicdepartments to develop efficient workflows, standardize businessprocesses, resolve complex fiscal issues, and enhance servicedelivery. Provides communication, training, guidance andinformational materials to staff regarding budget management,reporting and reconciliation methods. Develops tools and referencematerials for staff. Oversees faculty startup funding, monitors expenditures,ensures compliance with funding commitments, and provides guidanceto departments regarding startup account management. Leads continuous process improvement initiatives throughworkflow analysis, automation, documentation, and development ofstandard operating procedures to improve efficiency and servicedelivery. Utilizes financial systems and business intelligence tools to improve reporting, data visualization, operational efficiency, anddecision support. Leads special fiscal, operational, and strategic initiatives insupport of the Assistant Dean and Dean's Office. Reviews policy andprocedures manuals and coordinates changes as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Five (5) years of related work experience. This position may require the ability to maintain the securityand integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per TexasEO-GA-48.
