This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Manager based in Brazil.

This role leads data-driven solutions that support business growth and digital product performance. You will oversee the lifecycle of data products, from defining requirements through deployment and continuous optimization. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in data analysis, visualization, governance, and delivery. You will guide cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and analytics specialists while developing data talent. A key focus will be tracking customer behavior for a major e-commerce operation and translating metrics into actionable insights. Your work will directly inform marketing and product initiatives through meaningful KPIs, visualizations, and data products. The role also offers an opportunity to strengthen data practices and incorporate AI into everyday team workflows.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from ideation and requirements definition through development, deployment, validation, and optimization.
• Analyze behavioral and business data to generate insights that support digital product growth, marketing strategies, and business decisions through effective data visualization.
• Lead cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and analytics specialists, fostering collaboration and delivering high-quality data products.
• Attract, retain, mentor, and develop data professionals while promoting continuous learning, engagement, and high performance.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand data needs, communicate the value of initiatives, prioritize competing demands, and define effective roadmaps.
• Profile and analyze datasets, identifying data types, relationships, patterns, and trends to improve understanding and inform business questions.
• Translate business processes and workflows into clear assumptions about data sources, entities, attributes, and requirements.
• Define how data should be structured and presented for consumption, working with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear and achievable requirements.
• Validate data products with users and use feedback, metrics, and KPIs to measure performance, effectiveness, and business impact.
• Contribute to data governance and understand the architecture and infrastructure supporting storage, integrations, analytics platforms, and e-commerce data environments.
• Support the adoption of AI within team workflows to improve productivity, performance, and delivery.

Requirements:

• C1-level English or above, with strong communication skills for working with international stakeholders and clients.
• Proven experience working with international clients and distributed or cross-functional teams.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on or strong working knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with a product mindset and the ability to connect data initiatives with measurable business value.
• Experience applying value-based prioritization to balance stakeholder needs, business impact, and technical considerations.
• Proven team leadership experience with a hands-on approach and the ability to mentor and develop data professionals.
• Experience in data platforms, data visualization, or advanced analytics is a plus.
• Experience with on-premises environments and data cloud migrations is desirable.
• Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
• Experience with AI/ML is desirable.
• Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking, are a plus.
