Role Details

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups through both standardized testing and observational assessments.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on facets such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to forge integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational support for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as necessary to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep precise and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuing education efforts and collaborative engagement with peers.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must hold state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
