Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist — Johnson City, NY

Pay: $3,646 / week (gross)

Position Summary

A hospital in Johnson City, NY is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment beginning June 29. The ideal candidate performs high‑quality nuclear medicine studies, follows radiation safety protocols, and collaborates effectively with physicians and imaging teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and PET/CT studies per physician orders.
• Prepare, handle, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Operate and troubleshoot gamma cameras, PET/CT, and associated imaging equipment.
• Acquire and process images, perform quality control, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide patient education and support.
• Maintain radiation safety, inventory control, and compliance with facility policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience.
• Active New York state license for Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• NMTCB certification or ARRT (N) (required).
• BLS (current).
• Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling, radiation safety, and imaging protocols.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient‑care skills.

Preferred

• Prior travel technologist experience.
• Experience with PET/CT and hybrid imaging workflows.

Notes

• Pay listed is gross weekly.
• Facility may require additional credentialing, background checks, and onboarding prior to start.
