Staff Accountant II

Job Description Our client, a growing and well‑established general contracting organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join its accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with at least two years of experience who is pursuing a CPA and looking to grow toward a Senior Accountant role. Location: West Chester, OH Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Responsibilities: Prepare and post recurring and standard journal entries Complete balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine Support intercompany transactions and multi‑entity accounting activities Perform budget‑to‑actual variance analysis and research account fluctuations Assist with month‑end close, audit preparation, and external auditor requests Ensure accuracy and timeliness of assigned accounting processes Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; public accounting busy season experience will be considered CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA certification Solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience with BlackLine and ERP systems is a plus Growth Opportunity: This role offers a defined path toward Senior Accountant responsibilities, including increased ownership of close activities, financial analysis, and entity‑level accounting functions.
