Weekly Schedule: 36 Hours

Certifications/Licenses: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Mandatory Experience: RN PCU, Med Onc PCU -D/N, Oncology Experience Preferred But Not Required

Patient Diagnoses: Required: High Acuity PCU Patient Experience Heavy Focus on Infection Prevention Protocols and Patient Falls

Special Equipment: B450 Monitors GE Telemetry System, Bladder Scanner, Alaris Pumps, Stryker Beds, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, PCA Pumps

Requirements: Overall 2 Years of Acute Care Nursing Exp, With Atleast 1 Year of PCU Experience Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry Ratio: 1:3 PCU Required to Float Within Units of Equivalent or Lower Level of Acuity Previous Travel Experience Preferred

Skills Required: Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Care/Management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC Line Management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardia Drips- No Titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac Drips, Chest Tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomy Management

Skills Preferred: Management of Dysrhythmias, IV Insulin Protocols, Titration of Insulin Drips, Phlebotomy, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Arterial Line Management, Surgical Drains, Non-invasive Airway Management
