Assistant Superintendent - Travel Required

Location: Austin, TX (Travel Required to Eagle Pass, TX)

A growing Texas General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the field execution of a major casino and hotel expansion project in Eagle Pass, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile, large-scale project from the early stages and gain exposure to complex commercial construction alongside an experienced project leadership team.

Per diem will be provided while assigned to the Eagle Pass project site.

Project Details

• $55M Casino & Hotel Expansion Project in Eagle Pass, TX
• Project Duration: through December 2027\
• Future projects will be based in Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing daily field operations
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project logistics
• Monitor project schedules and help drive work to meet milestones
• Assist with site safety compliance and quality control initiatives
• Participate in subcontractor meetings, owner meetings, and coordination meetings
• Review drawings, specifications, and field conditions to identify potential issues
• Track manpower, production, and project progress
• Assist with punch list completion and project closeout activities
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and site records

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction field operations
• Current experience with a General Contractor required
• Experience supporting large-scale ground-up commercial projects
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel and remain onsite in Eagle Pass for the duration of the project

Preferred Experience

• Hospitality, casino, hotel, multifamily, healthcare, mission critical, or large commercial construction experience
• Experience on projects valued at $50M+
• Exposure to projects from sitework through closeout
• Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software experience
