This is a sales and business-development position . Success in this role requires more than responding to incoming customers. You will be expected to actively prospect, develop leads, create new sales opportunities, and build relationships that generate business. The right candidate is comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and being accountable for measurable results. You should be someone who does not wait for opportunities to come to you—you know how to create them. What You Will Do Actively prospect for new customers and develop your own leads Make outbound calls and conduct consistent follow-up with prospects Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the local community Schedule and conduct appointments with prospective and existing customers Develop relationships that lead to new business and referrals Identify customer needs and discuss appropriate auto, home, life, and other available insurance products Cross-sell and identify additional opportunities with existing customers Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently follow up on open opportunities Work toward established weekly and monthly sales and marketing goals Participate in agency marketing and community-development activities Take ownership of your individual results and professional development Who We Are Looking For We are especially interested in candidates who are self-directed, competitive, persistent, and comfortable being measured by results . You should have a strong independent work ethic and the ability to manage your day without requiring constant supervision. You understand that prospecting, follow-up, and consistent activity are fundamental parts of a successful sales career.
