About the Role

The Company is seeking a Virtual Chief Financial Officer (VCFO) to take on a pivotal role as a strategic partner, shaping the future of growing businesses in the construction industry. The successful candidate will not only be responsible for traditional CFO duties but will also be deeply involved in solving complex financial challenges and providing high-impact, strategic consulting. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, from small to mid-sized businesses, and is ideal for a commercially minded professional who is passionate about moving beyond transactional accounting. Key responsibilities for the VCFO include serving as the lead financial advisor to client leadership teams, overseeing month-end close and financial statement delivery, building and managing KPI-driven financial forecasts, and providing strategic consulting on cash flow, budgeting, and operations. The role demands a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, an active CPA is highly preferred, and at least 6 years of experience in CFO, Controller, or financial advisory roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in accounting platforms and Excel, and a proven track record of supporting businesses in the $1M–$50M revenue range. The VCFO will also be responsible for managing client scope, pricing, and engagement success, and must be a current US citizen.
