Insurance Data and Operations Specialist for AI Model Training

Help improve AI reasoning for insurance data and operational performance by creating realistic insurance analytics, reporting, workflow, and quality-control scenarios. This remote, per-task role is open to professionals based in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scenarios using policy, premium, exposure, claims, provider, member, producer, and operational data.
• Create metric definitions, data-quality assessments, workflow analyses, dashboard requirements, operational reports, root-cause analyses, and process-improvement recommendations.
• Produce high-quality reference answers that reflect experienced insurance data and operations practice.
• Assess AI-generated work against structured rubrics covering data interpretation, metric consistency, process understanding, feasibility, and communication.
• Identify incorrect denominators, misleading aggregations, inconsistent definitions, data-lineage gaps, workflow bottlenecks, and conclusions unsupported by available evidence.
• Provide written feedback to support improvements in model behavior.
• Take part in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in insurance data, business analysis, reporting, operations analysis, quality assurance, or process improvement.
• Knowledge of at least one insurance operating domain, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, distribution, health-plan operations, reinsurance, or compliance.
• Experience translating business questions into metrics, reporting requirements, data definitions, workflow changes, or operational controls.
• Ability to analyze processes without replacing the substantive decision-making role of an underwriter, adjuster, clinician, actuary, or compliance specialist.
• Excellent analytical writing, structured problem-solving skills, attention to detail, spreadsheet proficiency, and experience with at least one reporting, database, analytics, or workflow tool.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or insurance data platforms.
• A Lean, Six Sigma, project-management, business-analysis, or data-governance credential.
• Experience with policy, billing, claims, CRM, provider, or member-administration systems.
• Experience in data governance, model governance, audit, or operational quality.
• Experience developing KPIs, service-level metrics, or executive reporting.

Work Terms

• Remote work, available to candidates in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
• Per-task engagement.
• Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with 40 or more hours per week preferred.
• The role is available to begin immediately, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Compensation

• Compensation: 800 per task.
