Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist at a City entity in Anaheim. Will assist with processing bi-weekly payroll and weekly timesheets. Must have some payroll administration experience. Temporary contract assignment up to 6 months in length. Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm. $25-$30 per hour DOE.

$ 25.00 to $ 30.00 / hour
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
Review and process employee timesheets and timekeeping records for completeness and accuracy.
Process timesheet stat changes submitted by all City departments.
Process payroll adjustments, including corrections to hours, earnings, deductions, and leave balances.
Review employees pay information and assist with resolving routine payroll discrepancies.
Process employee direct deposit and tax withholding change forms.
Process employee deductions, including union dues, benefit deductions, and other authorized deductions.
Review and process leave usage, including vacation, sick leave, and other applicable leave types.
Assist with processing final paychecks and other payroll-related payments.
File and maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in an organized manner.
Assist with payroll reconciliations and balancing payroll records.
Respond to routine payroll questions from employees and departments regarding payroll transactions and procedures; refer complex issues to regular Payroll staff.
Assist with the distribution of payroll-related checks, reports, and documents.
Assist with special payroll projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Payroll administration / processing experience
Timekeeping system experience
Municipal or public sector experience a plus
Microsoft Office proficiency
