Summary

S.A. Morman & Co. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist (AP) to join a fast-paced team working environment This role includes reviewing invoices for accuracy, obtaining approvals, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments. The AP Specialist works closely with internal departments and external vendors to maintain accurate financial records and support the company’s financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables via the accounting software
• Cut and mail manual checks from the account software once a week
• Manage the corporate credit card expense and payments
• Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
• Ensure there is appropriate support to validate the expense before payment is made
• Maintain 1099’s
• Oversee petty cash
• Other tasks within the account department as necessary

Qualifications

• Organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, knowledge of accounting platforms helpful
