Sr. Full Stack Engineer

The Sr Full Stack Engineer is primarily responsible for developing new / maintaining existing n-tier, Web and Client/Server applications. The candidate will be working very closely with the internal business partners, project managers and external vendors collecting requirements and implementing projects. This is a development position, with exposure to and integration with cloud (AWS) infrastructure.

Coding, scripting, and operational tasks using one or more programming or scripting languages

Take ownership of initial code quality including unit testing

Design and implementation of configuration management and service discovery, secrets management, immutable infrastructure, containers, and the use of tools to accelerate the SDLC and improve availability and quality of releases

Develop and implement a set of quality criteria and the associated validation method to ensure that any deliverable meets the expected quality levels of our customers

Actively review their own and the team's work processes and implement improvements seen from other teams or in industry to drive continuous improvement of the team's efficiency, speed, and quality

Be responsible for the health and maintainability of our codebase

Monitor and maintain/enhance the ongoing performance of systems

Be able to identify any deficiencies of CI/CD pipeline, and be responsible to troubleshoot and fix any issues during code deployment

Provide technical support to internal customers

The ideal candidate will have designed, developed and implemented solutions that include not only the automation of business and operations processes but the underlying infrastructure required to run that code and the systems required to deploy it

5+ years of Java programing experience

Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming (OOD, OOP) and Design Patterns

Programming Languages: Java, Spring Boot

Frontend: Angular.js, NodeJs, React.js, Redux

Rules & Business process: Drools

Test Framework: Selenium

Logs & Monitoring: CloudWatch, DynaTrace, AppDynamics, New Relic

Database: NoSQL (MongoDB preferred), JSON

The candidate will also possess technical skills and experience in cloud computing (ideally AWS), understanding how to deploy, implement and upgrade the code they develop, using continuous integration and delivery systems

Experience as an operations or systems engineer using scripting or coding languages to accomplish goals, or as a developer working with operational concerns

Experience using version control systems such as BitBucket, GitHub, and/or TFS

Experience with administration and management of both front-end web servers and database servers, on Windows and Linux platforms

Experience with application Performance Monitoring and Log aggregation at scale

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience

Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job

Database Development experience

Exposure to / experience with additional programming and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#, and SQL

IAAS automated provisioning and maintenance

CAAS platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS

Cloud native design patterns such as circuit breakers, self-healing

Message-oriented middleware such as RabbitMQ

Experience working with production PAAS platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS Elastic Beanstalk

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack

Experience working with microservices architecture including experience with containerization tools such as Docker and infrastructure applications such as Service Discovery, Configuration Service, and API Gateway

Familiarity with automated testing tools, Linux systems administration, and continuous integration servers

Experience implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Experience with the Mortgage Industry or Financial Applications

Experience with Mortgage Default applications

Experience with Scrum and Agile Methodology
