Overview Monitor Technician Job Description. We are seeking a dedicated Monitor Technician to join Kuakini Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for continuous monitoring of patients' cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Monitor Technician, you will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being. You will be responsible for accurately interpreting EKG readings and documenting relevant information in the patient\'s medical record. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on patient needs. Responsibilities Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and identify any abnormalities. Promptly report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff. Accurately document EKG readings and relevant patient information. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety. Participate in training and continuing education programs as required. Required Qualifications Certified as a Monitor Technician. Must pass EKG test during orientation. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Monitor Technician. Skills & Competencies Proficient in EKG interpretation. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills.
