Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Southington, CT! This district-wide position is perfect for dedicated Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) passionate about fostering student success and helping young learners reach their full potential.
Enjoy a flexible part-time schedule—work 20 hours per week across any three days that suit your life, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. You'll be responsible for a manageable caseload of 23 students, providing essential therapy services to help them improve mobility, independence, and participation in school activities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a PT or PTA in Connecticut (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to a collaborative, student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions according to student IEPs
- Evaluate student needs and develop tailored therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support holistic student care
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Serve schools district-wide, promoting inclusion and accessibility within educational environments
