Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status during initial consultations to establish a therapeutic alliance and identify key issues.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that encompass a range of therapeutic modalities suited to the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group, utilizing evidence-based strategies to empower patients in managing their mental health challenges.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the hospice setting, providing referrals to psychiatrists or other relevant services as needed for integrated care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality protocols.

• Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, demonstrating proficiency in de-escalation techniques and providing immediate support to patients and families in distress.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case reviews, contributing insights and sharing effective practices to enhance overall service quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with patients facing various emotional challenges associated with terminal illnesses, which may include anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. You'll engage with individuals from an array of cultural backgrounds, ensuring that your therapeutic approaches are sensitive to their unique cultural identities and values. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.

• A strong foundation in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Proven ability to provide culturally responsive and inclusive therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
