The Cultural Resources Project Manager role offers flexibility with a hybrid or fully remote work environment, paired with meaningful fieldwork and site engagement across Northern California.

As a Cultural Resources Project Manager, your day may begin with coordinating field survey logistics, followed by reviewing archaeological findings or preparing technical reports. You'll collaborate with clients, agencies, and Tribal representatives, mentor team members, and guide projects from proposal through completion. The Cultural Resources Project Manager role blends leadership, technical expertise, and relationship-building—making every day dynamic and rewarding.

As a Cultural Resources Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and oversee cultural resources projects across Northern California
• Manage research, field surveys, data recovery, and artifact analysis
• Direct mitigation monitoring programs and reporting efforts
• Prepare proposals and technical documents
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, Tribal representatives, and internal teams
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Support business development and client relationship growth

Salary will be based on qualifications and/or experience, with a robust benefits package. Expected starting pay range of $80,000 to $110,000.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, history, or related field
• Minimum 6 years of archaeology experience (field surveys, reports, and agency coordination)
• At least 2 years in environmental consulting or agency settings
• Strong knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, and Section 106 compliance
• Experience with northern and central California prehistoric and historic archaeology
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Valid California driver's license
• Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications: Ideal Cultural Resources Project Manager candidates also have:

• Specialized analytical skills (e.g., geoarchaeology, lithics, ceramics)
• GPS and field data collection experience
• Experience coordinating with agencies and Native American groups
• Established client relationships
