Kinsale Golf Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in the daily operation of our culinary program. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for assisting with food preparation, menu execution, quality control, inventory management, staff supervision, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. The ideal candidate is a skilled culinary professional with strong leadership abilities, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced private club environment. Summary The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of culinary quality, safety, and efficiency. This position requires strong culinary expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties Assist the Executive Chef in daily planning, directing, and coordinating kitchen operations. Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. Monitor food preparation to guarantee consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. Contribute to menu development and daily specials by offering creative input. Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with daily ordering & inventory of supplies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Step in and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
