Senior SAP Fiori Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP Fiori Developer based in United States.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a senior SAP developer focused on building modern, intuitive enterprise applications.
You will own the end-to-end development of SAP Fiori and UI5 solutions, from design and architecture through deployment and post-launch support.
The role offers broad exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, OData services, and modern web technologies.
You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, ABAP developers, UX specialists, and other technical stakeholders.
Your work will directly influence application usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability across enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges while applying strong UX and clean-architecture principles.
This is a full-time, direct W2 position offering a remote work environment and opportunities for continued technical growth.

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, Fiori elements, and Fiori Launchpad while following SAP Fiori design standards and enterprise development practices.
• Build and consume OData V2/V4 services, including data models, navigation properties, expansions, batch operations, and related integrations.
• Develop reusable UI components, custom controls, fragments, formatters, and other application assets that support scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Configure role-based Fiori Launchpad experiences, including catalogs, groups, tiles, and target mappings.
• Optimize application performance through techniques such as bundling, caching, lazy loading, and minimizing unnecessary network requests.
• Develop adaptive applications using flexibility services and key-user adaptation capabilities within SAP S/4HANA.
• Integrate Fiori applications with SAP BTP services, including XSUAA, Workflow, and Document Service, while applying appropriate authentication and authorization patterns.
• Support application deployment across ABAP frontend servers and SAP BTP-hosted runtimes.
• Partner with ABAP developers to define efficient OData services and CDS views that support high-performing Fiori applications.
• Perform functional, regression, cross-browser, cross-device, accessibility, and edge-case testing to ensure reliable and consistent user experiences.
• Provide post-go-live and hypercare support, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous application improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering architecture, design decisions, configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly SAP solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience, with substantial experience delivering enterprise applications in production environments.
• Strong expertise in SAPUI5, Fiori elements, Fiori Launchpad, and SAP Fiori design principles.
• Solid experience designing, modeling, and consuming OData V2/V4 services.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, modern JavaScript/ES6+, CSS, and contemporary web development practices.
• Working knowledge of ABAP CDS views, BOPF, and SAP Gateway service development.
• Experience deploying and supporting Fiori applications on both ABAP frontend servers and SAP BTP runtimes.
• Understanding of SAP authentication, authorization, security, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of application performance optimization, responsive design, accessibility, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Ability to work effectively with ABAP developers, functional consultants, UX teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and take ownership of projects throughout the development lifecycle.
