Senior Automation Specialist, Cambridge, ON We are looking for a hands‑on candidate with experience in Siemens and Allen‑Bradley PLC programming, Siemens and AB HMI programming, robotic integration, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and SolidWorks mechanical drawings. Key responsibilities and qualifications: Mentor training and technical guidance (Mentor Teacher). Track and manage projects for 5 years of experience. Hands‑on experience with TIA Portal, Step 7, S7 PLCs, and WinCC HMI. Develop and debug PLC and HMI programs using standard and customized logic. Integrate Siemens drive systems, motion control, and automation solutions. Multi‑platform programming: Siemens (primary), Allen‑Bradley, and Omron. Experience with robotics, pick‑and‑place systems, and multi‑axis calibration and testing. Commission servo drives, VFDs, and soft starters. Electrical design including power/circuit sizing, panel layout, and communication setup. Mechanical systems familiarity: robotic cells, pneumatics, hydraulics, and material handling.
