Responsibilities
- Develop and advance automated workflows for antibody discovery and characterization
- Manage a small team of scientists, establish priorities, and support professional development
- Translate scientific needs into scalable, robust, and decision-enabling capabilities across discovery workstreams
- Resolve complex technical issues and manage resources across concurrent biotherapeutic programs
- Oversee laboratory operations ensuring safety, compliance, and standardized automated methods
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in biological science or related field
- Demonstrated scientific leadership directing complex laboratory automation or high-throughput screening across multiple programs
- Hands-on experience with automated liquid handling platforms, robotic arms, and automation software programming
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or equivalent tools for data processing and workflow automation
- Strong experience with binding and cell-based assays including ELISA and flow cytometry
- Proven track record managing or supervising automation scientists with coaching and professional development responsibilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in matrixed research environments
Compensation: $159,600–$251,200 base
