We have an opportunity for a Counselor to join us and make Lake Wellness Center your new "work home". This position is Monday to Thursday, 1-9 PM; Fridays 9am-5pm or 8:30am-4:30pm. Our generous paid time off policy for full-time team members includes 5 sick days each year, vacation that increases over time, 10 paid holidays each year, and more. No phone calls or in person visits please so we may focus on patient care.If you join our team, you'll enjoy the following responsibilities:Provide clinical services via group and individual therapy.Provide crisis intervention and referrals for patients.Participate in clinical assessments and screenings to aide in the admissions process.Write and submit clinical master admission, discharge and updated treatment plans, and clinical updates for UR review.Conduct assessments and evaluations based on the model/treatment criteria.Engage patients at admission and through their treatment episode to ensure delivery of the best patient care with unconditional positive regard.Document patient notes, interventions, phone calls, and overall patient data, including symptom monitoring.Document weekly progress notes and weekly progress questionnaires.Keep all patient charts up to date.Work collaboratively with the medical and clinical team and provide immediate notification of unusual or potentially high-risk findings.Actively participate in weekly medical and/or clinical staffing of patients.Contact current patients on a regular basis to keep patients engaged.Provide support for clinical services to other team members when needed.Adhere to rules and regulations regarding treatment, such as group size, caseload and referrals.Aggressively implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.Other duties as assigned.You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:Minimum of a bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.Current, unrestricted license - LAC, CAC, RAC, CCS, LMSW, LCSW, LPC (or PLPC), LMFT (or PLMFT), etc. A Counselor in Training (CIT) may be permitted in lieu of a license.Prior experience as a clinician, providing therapy services in addiction treatment or dual-diagnosis.Possess an understanding of the role of 12-step principles in sobriety.Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff, team members and various individuals from the community agencies.Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
