Compliance Paralegal

LHH is looking for a Compliance Paralegal (Temporary) - Remote, or if in Chicago, in office for occasional meetings.

Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Approximately 2+ months (potential extension)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM (CST core hours)
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour (DOE)

Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Paralegal with 1-3 years of experience, specifically in campaign finance filings and regulatory compliance support . This role will support a busy compliance team and is ideal for candidates who thrive in deadline-driven environments requiring discretion and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file PAC, lobbyist employer, and lobbyist employee filings across 50+ jurisdictions
  
• Support political compliance obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  
• Assist with CLE (Continuing Legal Education) approvals across multiple states
  
• Track and maintain attendee CLE credits for organizational events
  
• Coordinate with speakers to collect required documentation for CLE applications
  
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the Compliance team
  

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of paralegal or compliance experience
  
• Required: Hands-on experience with campaign finance/compliance filings
  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information
  
• Excellent organization and time management skills
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the VP of Compliance

• Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint)
  
• SharePoint

• Overtime may be available as needed
  
• Strong emphasis on confidentiality, discretion, and responsiveness
  
• Laptop provided (home address and email required for setup)
