Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are seeking anOperationsManager to join ourLow Voltage Construction division in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will lead all aspects of construction projects, providing customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and profitable outcomes at an operational level. You will also closely collaborate with business development efforts, field, and other business units to successfully obtain work that aligns with McKinstry capabilities and business plans. Key Responsibilities: Leading teams Hire, coach, and performance manage team members consistent with McKinstry values Schedule and host the monthly Project Management Meeting w/ focus on training team members Be an integral part of monthly Project Reviews and Project Plan Presentations Be an integral part of building the SPG offering in Portland. Operations Management Participate with Business Unit Manager in monthly department forecasting, annual planning, and department monthly meeting Manage proactive staffing which compares project and assignments to a roster of resources Take responsibility for proactive view of upcoming work and communicating that toall of the interested downstream partners Take responsibility for ensuring that the Critical Processes from the PLCand Navigatorare being done on all projects (including coach,guideand mentor around this content) Reduce write downs by evaluating field installations with superintendents to uncover opportunities to streamline and reduce wasted time and materials Work with project managers to schedulemanpowerrequirements based on budget, scope, job schedule Confirmmanpowerneeds are being met for all projects and communicate impacts to PM’s Makesure field is performing in budgeted labor hours through publishedmanpowerplans Create a way to trackSuperintendents’/SPG Field Leadsperformance Ensure we execute professional high-quality installations on all projects Makesure field personnel wearappropriate uniforms Work withlogisticsto make sure internal deliveries meet SPG standards Work with tool room operations to make sure it aligns with SPG process Keeps track of union contracts and howit affectsthe business Attend union labor committee meetings Monitor active certifications and badging credentials held by field labor Work with the superintendents todeterminequalifications and training needs Hold field crew accountable for deadlines Work with Superintendentsto keep crew sizes at the correct level and labor mix for department project execution Set-up vendor training and certification for specific products and equipment Work with safety dept. to manage safety training and implementation for all SPG Manage trade communication with internal/external customers whenmanpowerneeds to beshifted Develop andutilizetools to communicate with shopandsuperintendents about upcoming workload Work withProject Managers andSuperintendents to organize andschedulepost job analysis when jobs are completed Sales and Business Development Support Available to sales/estimating formanpoweroptions and strategies Participatein Job Walks and Bid Reviews to provide constructabilityreviewandensure sound estimating practices Attend client meetings, interviews and events as needed Take on pursuits and budgeting exercises as assigned What you Need to Succeed at McKinstry Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience 10+ years of industry experience 7+ years of project management experience 7+ years of experience leading people with a high standard of excellence Strong business acumen Proficient in forecasting and managing cost types PeopleFirst Benefits When it comes to the basics, we have you covered: Competitive pay 401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing plan Paid time off and holidays Comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision with low or zero deductible options and low out of pocket maximums People come firstatMcKinstry, and we go beyond the basic benefits with: Family formation benefits, including adoption and IVF assistance Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave Transgender inclusive benefits Commuter benefits Pet insurance “Building Good” paid community service time Learning and advancement opportunities via McKinstry University McKinstry Moves onsite gyms or reimbursement for remote workers See benefit plan documents for complete details. The pay range for this position is$118,170 - $210,100per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
