Key Responsibilities\n

• Manage a caseload of clients by establishing and maintaining rapport and positive working relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions to review client progress and outcomes, ensuring effective communication regarding stability and future appointments.

• Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans, implementing and monitoring strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Document client interactions meticulously, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date progress notes are maintained.

• Perform initial intake assessments to identify client needs and establish appropriate therapeutic plans.

• Facilitate an appropriate number of individual therapy sessions weekly, ensuring a consistent and supportive therapeutic experience.

• Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance professional growth and clinical practices.

• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor at Getting Better Counselling Clinic, you will serve a varied clientele, including children, teenagers, and adults dealing with a range of mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling is required.

• Current and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure is mandatory.

• A minimum of three years of post-graduate experience in an outpatient clinical setting is necessary.

• Proficient in using technology, including Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY for documentation and communication.

• Experience in providing direct psychotherapy services to both individuals and families is essential.

• Comfort and proficiency in conducting intake assessments are expected.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of three years of experience is required, candidates with specific training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices is also advantageous.
