About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer for Finance and Risk Platforms. This high-impact role is pivotal in modernizing core systems, driving cloud adoption, and building unified data systems that significantly influence decision-making across various business areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of cloud-based financial systems, with a strong focus on architecture and engineering. Key tasks include designing and building scalable, cloud-native platforms, leading data consolidation initiatives, developing unified data models, and building backend services and APIs to support financial workflows and reporting. The role also involves driving system modernization and migration to AWS environments, as well as mentoring a small team of engineers and strengthening engineering practices. Applicants for this role at The Company should have a strong commercial background in backend engineering using Java, experience in building scalable systems, and a robust understanding of data modeling and data platforms, particularly within financial or regulated environments.
