When you join Ames, you’re joining a company built for long-term success — where skilled people, strong teams, and disciplined execution come together to build careers and a better future.**Duties and Responsibilities** * Instill Safety as a top priority* Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members* Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans* Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel* Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly* Fill out daily foreman reports* Analyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedly* Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)* Manage all excavating activities for your crew* Other duties may be assigned. **Experience, Education & Skills*** Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction* Willingness to travel* Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices* Must be familiar with heavy equipment* Ability to work outside in all weather conditions* Must have a valid Driver’s License* Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools* Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs* Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills* Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial* Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies Ames Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
