POSITION SUMMARY:

The Member Experience Manager takes ownership of the membership acquisition process from beginning to end. This position hires, trains and directs a team of Membership Ambassadors to ensure every new member has a positive buying experience and is warmly welcomed and oriented to the club. The team focuses on and executes best practices to ensure effective member acquisition, and member integration. The Member Experience Manager is responsible for the club achieving its membership goals, fitness sales goals and assists with Personal Training program presentations. This position will be provided with direct supervision by the General Manager and a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Vice President of Member Experience. The Member Experience Manager must be highly organized and able to lead a department.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• $31.80-$35.95 hourly, based on relevant experience to the role. Full-time hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relationship-based selling/servicing skills and training/presentation skills
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint basic proficiency
• Budgeting and analysis skills
• Experience with grassroots marketing
• Specific experience in customer engagement and retention is a plus
• 3+ years sales management and leadership experience
• Club and/or hospitality industry experience (high-end, resort-style, family-oriented facilities) preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; great listening skills
• Skilled and comfortable communicating with people of all ages and speaking in front of groups
• Polished phone skills
• Able to handle multiple and concurrent projects and responsibilities.
• Accountable for meeting deadlines
• Workspace is well-organized and neat
• Able to work with minimal supervision; work ethic and drive to achieve come from within
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Friendly, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, positive, and motivational
• Honest, ethical, principled, and trustworthy
• Creative and resourceful
• Strong leadership skills
• Genuine, sincere interest in helping and developing others
• Skilled at rapport and relationship-building
• Calm under pressure; maintains composure
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire date
• Occasional bending and kneeling, and infrequent lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching.
• The noise level is usually moderate to high.
