Jr. Staff Accountant - Temp-to-hire

Large environmental services company located south of downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Junior Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis. The Junior Staff Accountant will assist with handling the day to day accounting functions for the company. The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable (vendor reconciliations, invoice matching, etc.), assisting with month-end closing, journal entry preparation, and processing payments. The Junior Staff Accountant will also perform bank and account reconciliations, handle inventory management, prepare management reporting, review variances, filing corporate returns, and ad hoc projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline is required.
- At least 1-2 years of general accounting experience - including accounts payable (A/P).
- Good communication skills are required.
- Strong ERP/MS Office (Word and Excel) skills.
