Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-eligible or board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist to join the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia at our Children’s Hospital. Our pediatric anesthesiologists provide care for children at our Children’s Hospital, which serves as a Level IV NICU referral center for the Inland Empire. The patient demographic is notably complex, including premature and critically ill neonates, children with congenital disorders, and those with chronic illnesses. We cater to a diverse and often underserved group of children, ranging from healthy to medically complex cases. The variety of cases includes neonatal and general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, craniofacial and plastic surgery, as well as a significant volume of non-operating-room anesthesia in radiology, oncology, and procedural suites. Additionally, our facility hosts a well-established congenital heart disease program, allowing pediatric anesthesiologists with the right training and interest to engage in pediatric cardiac procedures. Supervision ratios for residents and CRNAs typically range from 1:1 to 1:2.

The anticipated total annual compensation ranges from $462,000 to $562,000. The starting base salary is between $450,000 and $520,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. Total compensation may exceed the base salary through variable and productivity-based incentives under the department's compensation plan. Faculty interested in additional work can increase their earnings through incentivized clinical duties, extra shifts, and on-call responsibilities. Specific details will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with subspecialty certification or eligibility in pediatric anesthesiology. Experience or additional training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia is advantageous but not mandatory.
