Payroll Specialist

Location: Newington, CT

A growing national company in Newington is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of payroll processing experience who is looking to expand their skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll and timekeeping transactions accurately and on schedule- processing multi-state payroll on a team.
• Review, reconcile, and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Work with employees and managers to address payroll-related questions
• Assist with payroll reporting, year-end processing, and W-2 support
• Support benefits administration and related employee changes
• Help maintain payroll procedures and ensure confidentiality

 

What We’re Looking For:

• A few years of payroll processing experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments
• Interest in learning payroll accounting and benefits administration
• ADP experience a plus!

• Proven experience processing full-cycle payroll

• Hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll practices a plus!

• Experience supporting payroll for organizations with at least a few hundred employees

• Proficiency with ADP a plus!

• High level of accuracy, organizational ability, and discretion when handling confidential employee information.

• Effective communication skills
