Staff Accountant

Full Time Colorado, Denver, CO, US Salary Range: $63,666.00 To $70,000.00 Annually Staff Accountant Who We Are All Star Healthcare Solutions is expanding our high‑performing Accounting team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of experience to join our accounting team. This role will own key components of the monthly close process and support core accounting operations. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, technology-minded, and enjoys improving processes while building a strong foundation in accounting. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools, automation, and data-driven insights to improve efficiency, enhance accuracy, and support scalable business operations. What You Will Do Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation. Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner. Analyze account activity and research unusual fluctuations to ensure financial statement accuracy. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Own portions of the accounts payable process, including coding, discrepancy resolution, reconciliation and credit card accounting. Record and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and processes. Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate cash activity recording. Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record amortization entries. Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements. Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Operations, and payroll to ensure accurate financial results. Contribute to process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies. Support internal controls, accounting policy compliance, and process documentation efforts. Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed. Utilize ERP, reporting, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes. Partner closely with a Senior Accountant for guidance, review support, and ongoing development. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
