Safety Engineer Sr- Level 3

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 3+ years related experience. Experience at 5‑skill level in USAF Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC), Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC), Marine Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or Army Military MOS aircraft maintenance discipline. At least 3 years minimum experience with military flight line aircraft operations and associated safety program requirements. Experience with Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Flightline Safety, Fall Protection, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) programs. Ability to work a flexible shift schedule. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Job Description This position will be part of the Environmental Safety & Health team supporting the F‑35 Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Interim Contract Support (ICS) operations at Luke AFB, AZ. Desired Skills Understand application of safety principles, concepts, practices, and standards to include knowledge of industry and company practices. Understanding of military fighter aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance activities, and high‑tempo flight operations. Knowledge of USAF 21‑101 and AFMAN 91‑203.
