Manager, Commercial Sales - Industry Expansion

As a Commercial Sales Manager specific for the Industry Expansion team, you will lead and develop a team of Account Executives and play a key role in expanding our business accounts and acquiring new customers within the financial services, healthcare, consulting, manufacturing, and energy industries. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the growth of the corporate business unit and Gong’s success by crushing revenue goals. This position reports to our Regional Vice President, Industry Expansion Sales. Responsibilities Hire, train, and develop an accomplished team of full-cycle Commercial Account Executives Develop and coach the sales, product, and industry skills of each team member Assist your team throughout their sales cycles to help them land and expand five‑figure accounts Regularly report on both team and individual results Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity Qualifications You must be currently located in Salt Lake City, Chicago, or NYC, as this role follows a hybrid work model 4+ years of experience building and managing high performing sales teams (for a SaaS Company) preferably having sold to Financial Services, Healthcare, Consulting, Manufacturing, or Energy organizations 2+ years of experience managing a Commercial sales team Successful track record of 100%+ of quota achievement as both a manager and as an individual contributor Experienced selling to Commercial level accounts as an individual contributor or manager Previous experience recruiting, retaining, and developing a team from the ground up Experience managing and improving full cycle account executive KPIs High level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think Previous experience selling into sales leadership preferred Perks & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plans designed to fit you and your family’s needs. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above-target earnings for those who exceed their sales targets. Gong is an equal‑opportunity employer.
