We are currently seeking an Utility Billing Specialist!

The Utility Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately processing and managing monthly utility charges for apartment complexes, ensuring that expenses are correctly allocated to tenants.

Responsibilities include:

• Process and manage monthly utility billing for apartment communities in a timely and accurate manner
• Allocate and apply utility charges correctly to tenant accounts based on property billing data
• Review utility invoices and billing reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or anomalies
• Collaborate with apartment property managers to confirm billing details and resolve questions or issues
• Respond to tenant inquiries regarding utility charges, usage, and billing explanations with professionalism and care
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies by working with internal teams, property staff, and utility providers as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic records of billing data, correspondence, and adjustments
• Ensure billing deadlines are met while managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Provide exceptional customer service to both tenants and property managers to support strong working relationships
• Utilize Microsoft Office and internal billing systems to track, process, and report billing information
• Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards related to customer and financial data
• Participate in ongoing training and process improvements to support team and company growth

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous office, administrative, billing, or customer service experience preferred
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be self-motivated, with attention to detail
• A positive attitude and an ability to communicate and work well with others
• Ability to read and write English

Compensation: Full-Time $ 19.00 to $ 21.00 per hour
