Family Office Accountant

We are a privately operated family office overseeing a long-term global portfolio: operating companies, family trusts, and evergreen investment holding structures. Our work is defined by long horizons, careful stewardship, and a deep operating culture. We are a lean team and everyone here works hands-on.

THE ROLE

We are hiring one person to own the accounting function of our office and grow with it. The function is yours: you design the monthly close, you run it, you keep multi-entity books accurate and audit-ready, and you own the day-to-day relationships with the external CPA and tax advisors who support the office. Our office runs in a custom way, built around our entities, our principal, and an AI-forward workflow. Our external CPA and tax advisors are closely involved, and the team works alongside you daily, but the ownership, and the trust that comes with it, is yours from day one. You will have full visibility into the financial picture of the office.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Multi-entity books. Maintain accurate accounting records across operating companies, holding LLCs, and trust structures, each with its own bank accounts and filings, including the daily transactional work that keeps them trustworthy Monthly close and reconciliations. Build and drive a clean, repeatable monthly close across entities and own reconciliations end to end Financial reporting. Prepare financial statements and internal reporting, surfacing the things we should be paying attention to before we ask Cash positioning across entities Advisor coordination. Be the day-to-day point of contact for our external CPA and tax advisors on filings, support requests, and reporting cycles Process and tooling. Identify and implement workflow improvements. We expect this seat to make the function better than they found it

WHAT GROWTH LOOKS LIKE

Growth looks like expanding scope and decision rights: more ownership over process, deeper involvement with advisors and counsel, more direct exposure to the principal's strategic thinking. The person in this seat in five years has materially more influence over how this office runs than the one we hire today, and they got there by taking charge of the function and earning the trust that comes with it.

QUALIFICATIONS

3 to 5 years of accounting experience, in public accounting (tax, audit, or client accounting services) or industry CPA or CPA-in-progress preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting You'll thrive here if you've had exposure to multiple entities or clients, trusts, or investment structures Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable systems; comfort across Google Workspace Enthusiasm for AI tools. No one is expected to be an expert, but we do expect you to lean into them and learn Excellent communication: the ability to cleanly and concisely explain any line item in our reporting to someone without an accounting background Comfort with variability.
