Accountant

Manage daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger entries. Prepare and post journal entries. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Lead and support the monthly financial close process. Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Maintain and reconcile inventory transactions within Sage ERP . Monitor inventory adjustments, transfers, and manufacturing transactions to ensure accuracy. Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Coordinate with the external CPA by providing financial information and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Experience performing complete month-end financial close. Experience with inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations. Manufacturing accounting experience is highly preferred. Experience with Sage ERP Strong knowledge of: Journal Entries Inventory Accounting Account Reconciliations Fixed Assets Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions). Experience with Power BI is a plus. Knowledge of US GAAP. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with cost accounting. Experience working with external auditors or CPAs. Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
