Job Title: Ladder Peer Support Specialist Location: Desert Cove Health Center, 10844 N 23rd Ave Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85029 Position Type: Full Time Shift: Day Shift (Mon-Fri) Travel: Up to 50% Responsibilities Welcome and orient clients to the Terros Health Integrated clinic and the LADDER program. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients for mentoring and role‑modeling to support treatment goals. Plan and provide transportation for clients in the LADDER Program. Plan and facilitate activities, groups, community meetings, lunch activities, and peer‑led symptom‑management and recovery groups. Document services according to agency guidelines and best practices. Participate in department and company morning meetings, staff meetings, and trainings as required. Engage clients in community outreach, introducing them to additional service providers such as hospitals, recovery clinics, counseling, and employment resources. Encourage client involvement of natural support systems and strengthen communication with family, school, work, and community. Develop and maintain positive community‑based relationships with healthcare partners to enhance patient coordination. Serve as a role model for recovery by sharing lived experience and promoting treatment and recovery strategies. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting. At least one year of self‑identified lived experience with substance use. Arizona State Peer Certification preferred; ability to obtain within 90 days of employment. CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of starting the role. Strong interpersonal skills, effective listening, non‑judgmental communication, and positive interactions. Understanding of recovery principles and ability to use personal experience to benefit others. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, EMR experience; NextGen preferred. Clearance from the Arizona Department of Child Safety Direct Service Central Registry. Valid Arizona driver’s license, 21 years of age, minimum 3 years driving experience, and adherence to Terros Health driving policy. Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of start date. Pass a TB test.
