Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Salary: $50,000-$65,000 (Based on Experience) About the Role Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who is eager to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while working closely with experienced finance leaders. Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant will assist with daily accounting activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes to help ensure accurate and timely financial records. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close. Process daily cash receipts and record bank deposits accurately. Perform bank and revenue reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies. Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist with audit requests. Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation schedules. Help track grants, deferred revenue, and other general ledger accounts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred 1+ year of accounting experience or relevant internship experience preferred. Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Sage MIP, Altru, or other accounting software is a plus.
